Default PS3 doesn't recognize my external HDD
So I want to hook up my external HDD to my PS3 via USB to play music (stored in a separate folder), but when I go to 'Music' on the PS3, it doesn't recognize my .mp3 files on there, what gives?

whats the file format on your external HDD? i think ps3 only recognises fat 32

Yes, needs to be FAT32 file system.

Also make sure you just don't hit X to open the file/folder. Press TRIANGLE then hit "Open File" or whatever.... It only seems to work for me when I do it like that lol Just a heads up
