I am selling my original 60gb PS3. How do I wipe it to make sure that it has absolutely no user information, credit card information, network information, saved pictures and movies, etc.......?

With a tissue.
I'm pretty sure you can take the drive out, put it in your computer, and reformat it to get rid of all data.

there is an option under the settings tab in the main xmb screen. You can format the hdd that way, i did it that way a long time ago when i sold a ps3.

Consider using a tissue as well.

Your credit card information is tied into your account and not the HDD....just use the XMB format method

i am pretty sure you can just format the hdd from the ps3 options, i would advise trying that first as that would be the easiest.

I was not aware of a format HDD option in the menus. This is guaranteed to remove all information? The buyer wouldn't be able to hook it to their computer and recover information?
