What did you expect lol? The packaging is legit, not my fault
I couldn't magically ascertain the authenticity of your Memory card
through a screen shot, through the internet. So don't blame me because
you bought a fake card |:

Just stick it in your PSP. I scanned the VIN and the barcode.
It's a legit stick.... or does that mean 'nothing' as well?
I didn't expect the VIN or barcode's to be the end all be all truth...thanks for confirming that

And you wondered why i was so skeptical of its authenticity?

I'm not blaming you. It's just that im dissappointed in the fact that it's fake. And your scan post convinced me it was real. I claimed my money back @ PayPal anyway so I hope to get everything back.

I did the best I could with a SCREENSHOT.
It wouldn't have mattered either way, which is my point.
The only way to 100% be able to tell is to put in in the PSP
and add data to it. hence my response so keep your rolled eyes
to yourself, ok?

Well you posted a screenshot and asked is it legit.
From EVERY last piece of information on the screenshot
It pointed toward the card being a legit product, I honestly
actually tried to help which is more than most would have done.
The only way of being certain is to use the card so you asked
and I gave my best opinion with the information I had.

So defensive?

You where so confident in this scanner that you called me out with "soft footing"?

If there is reasonable doubt that the scanner could be wrong you should at least mention it but instead you ramble on about it being legit

Now how does this little scanner work? what did you scan your screen or print the screenshot out and scan it?

Or did you input the serial and the fake press was so well done your device read it as legit?

Well it reads an item code Vs one on file, i actually took a enhanced screenshot
of the barcode into my shop and the till brought it up as Sony 16gb Magicgate etc etc
The batch number (ViN) came back as legit also, I think it was something like may09
can't remember. So all information points to legit I think you'll agree.

Given a definitive answer to the question, the only other step is to actually use it
am I right? Turned out it was a fake.

"Great. I thought you had one of those scan things?"

If that doesn't say, great I thought you said it was real.. (implying blame)
then I don't know what does. In future, buy from a actual store

and rewindlabs you saw:

And didn't say it was fake so shut it, kk.

Ok ok, I believe you that you actually scanned the number. Thanks. Alot! But please don't think I'm blaming you. Because I'm simply not. In fact, I'm blaming the seller. He shoulden't sell fake stuff anyway.

Anyway, I got a responce from the seller that I can return the card and I will get my money back. Man I love paypal. Thanks for everything though dudes. I reall appreciate it. I'm planning on buying a different one from someone else and being more careful on buying the next memory card.

Detonator, thanks for helping. We definitely appreciate that you've done all you can from a screenshot, however, you did you work without a disclaimer. You never said that "This is all I can tell from a SS, and should be taken with a grain of salt". Even though that's how you'd suppose most people already knew that, you said that it's genuine with so much certainty that we figured you knew more about it than we did.

Honestly I can't figure how you'd think something to be genuine by simply a hologram or barcode, you can print that crap out. Yet, somehow you convinced (even me) that you knew more about the topic on hand. All I'm trying to say is be a little clearer next time, I wasn't the only one misled.
