Anybody getting it?

I heard the stick isn't as good as the SFIV TE...

Did you really think it was going to be better than the Tournament Edition stick? I mean it's $150 for the Tekken 6 bundle (essentially $90 for a wireless arcade stick) whereas the SFIV TE stick is $150 all by it's lonesome.

Anyway my little brother got it. I went by his house today to check it out. It's a pretty solid stick for what you pay for. Wireless works really well. We didn't have any trouble with it in that respect and he never commented on having any problems with it. However, if you going for sheer quality the TE is better in that category. I'm mighty particular with the feel of an arcade stick so untouched there's things I personally don't like about either.

Don't know if I'd go that far. It's pretty much just like the other lower tier Hori sticks (Fight Stick 3 or whatever) except it wireless. Far from garbage, but also far from the best. Honestly, most all retail sticks aren't amazing by any stretch. This is also why almost everyone that's serious about having something that feels right to them opts for a stick they can mod. In the end there's also a good degree of personal preference in some of the parts.

Hori always use Hori buttons and sticks for their cheaper sticks, which are generally usable but nothing on the sanwa in TE.

Yeah so I decided to opt out from the limited edition bundle and preordered the MvC 2 stick that's on Gamestop. I also ordered the SFIV TE stick and so that should come in few days.

I'm fairly new to the fighting stick scene, I know Sanwa sticks are one of the higher tier sticks while Hori is average at best.

Fair enough, one good thing to keep in mind when buying is to research is easily the stick is to mod. A lot of Hori sticks are very easy replace the sticks and buttons while not being completely overpriced. Sometimes it's more cost efficient to buy a cheaper stick and mod it. I'm not sure about the wireless one. I haven't asked my little brother if he's interested in taking it to the next level so I haven't checked out the inside or even looked at anything on it to see how easily it can be modded.

On the topic of the TE stick. As nice as that stick is I've still heard quite a few people complain about random things about it. It is however, pretty much the best your going to find without it being some special built one that will probably cost waaaaay too much. Smaller complaints aside it's a great stick. Big enough so that your hand don't really feel crowded on there and heavy enough that it doesn't feel like it's going to move around on you. This is of course on top of higher quality parts.
