Alright, just got a JustPC 600W power supply. It has dual 12V 20A rails. When I'm in my BIOS (Asus A8N-SLI board), it reports 11.5 volts or so on the 12v rail. Is my system THAT power hungry? I have 5 120mm fans, an underclocked 3700SD, and an EVGA 7900GT, I still haven't even installed windows yet, but this is concerning me. Does this sound like I need a seperate PSU for my fans/graphics card or is this kinda normal?

Most psu's are normally +/- 5% off, although the bios/software could be getting wrong readings. You would really need to test using a multimeter while system is under load. Anything below 11.4 or above 12.6 would be considered bad.

I think I fixed it, there was a cable stopping a fan, this may have caused the fan to overdraw and dip the voltage. Apparently it was still a decent level, but this should have helped it. I'll check again when I'm done installing XP.

Well that kind of Volts on 12v rail is normal anything within a 5% drop is ok. Nice PSU btw.
