No the 12V rails arnt just all the same. You have 2 different types of PSU

1. Single 12v rails
2. Dual 12v rails

Having Dual 12v rails provides alot more system stability as one whole RAIL is dedicated to running the system and the other for your components.

When getting a PSU make sure that you get a PSU with Dual 12v rails. When getting one its not only watts you need to look out for but the amperage on the 12V rail. You will want atleast 30-35 Amps altogether. Generally its spread out like this

12v+1 = 18Amps
12v+2 = 18Amps

= 36 Amps altogether on the 12v rail.

You cant add up both rails like that, its not really true.

The Enermax liberty 400w has 2 20a 12v rails but both combined is only 32a.

If your adding up 12v rails knock off a few amps (4-6) depending on how powerful.

True power PSU one that doesnt drop amps/watts you shouldnt see this happen.

Here is a 700Watt psu : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817711001

If you want a monster PSU go for this LINKY

4x 15a 12v rails (50a total-ish) will handle 2 7900gt's no problem

I think chozart has one for his Xfire X1900 setup (now they suck the juice!)
