Default Hooking up PCI-e video card to new psu

So I got my Hiper 580w in today, but I have a question.

When it came to hooking up my x1800xt it came with two wires, the first is a 6 pin pci-e cable that connects straight to the PSU, the other looks like the one that came with the video card, it has the 6 pin to the gpu, then a 4 pin to the HDD and a 4 pin power connector, but on this one it has only 3 pins in the 4 pin slots. And instead of a female connector to the HDD it has a male.

Which should I use?

Use the one thats coming out of the PSU. It sounds like the other ones your talking about are adapters, possibly for a PSU without a pcie connector or for sli.

That's what I used, everything works great, and now the case is neat and tidy.

Only other problem i had was the first start up where I forgot to hook up the HDD, and it took me a moment to realize why I was getting disk boot errors. >_>
