Question Connector question for new rig.

The motherboard I want for my new computer has a 24-pin power connector. After looking at power supplies, I have determined that in order to get a 24-pin power supply that supports sli it will cost a good bit more that one of the 20+4 pin type. Is there a way I can use 20+4 pin power supply with it? I dont know a lot about power supplies so Im not sure.

I know the feeling--same thing with dual rail 12V--I thought it would be better--but actually it is just another gyration (and false selling point)...

yeah, the difference between 20+4 and 24 pin atx psus rest only in the plug themselves. the 20+4 pin psus are made to be backwards compatable where the 24pin psus need an adapter to work with a 20 pin mobo
