Do you get a buzzing electricity sound when the PSU is on but the pc is off. Get close to the PSU and about 10cm away and see can you hear the noise. Thanx, this will be of great help to me.

There's a lot of current going through there...it's hertz are similar to some soundwaves

I don't hear anything coming from mine. Just the wooshing of the air from the fan intake. That's about it. No humming or whining even on load.

No, not when the psu is on, switch the computer off but leave the mains on and the PSU set to 1, then listen

Nope no buzzing noises what so ever from mine. I have it plugged into a ups though that filters out dirty power, that could be your problem.

Yep, no sound even when "off". I have mine plugged into a surge protector with power filter as well. Not sure why your's is making that sound. You might want to call OCZ or RMA it.

I had an older PSU that did that... didn't pop or blow up or anything, but it could be a current leak, which may or may not be damaging, but will be costing you money even though the system isn't on. Best to fire off an email to OCZ and see what they have to say about it.
