I have recently purchased another 7800GT for a good price so I will need a new PSU because mine won't be able to support SLI'd cards. I will be running everything in my sig plus the extra 7800GT in SLI and I might be purchasing a 2gb RAM kit sometime within the next month, so I would like to know what you all think would be a good PSU to run my system. Let's just not have any outrageously priced PSU's.

The FSP Epsilon 700W or the OCZ GameXStream 700W (they're identical) would run that rig easily. I have the FSP for my Crossfire rig, and it does not break a sweat. The OCZ version goes for $159.99 minus $13 MIB on Newegg:

I recommend the Sunbeam NUUO. 550 Watts, SLI capable. It's modular, with all of its cables sleeved. It includes an LCD front panel display, giving you temperatures and a rheostat that you can hook up to either the 120mm fan on its belly or the 80mm exhaust fan to adjust fan speed (or set it to auto, it increases as temps increase).
A good alternative, if you need even more power, would be to get the OCZ ModStream 620W.

I am personally not a big fan of modular for high-end rigs, since you'll loose a little power due to the extra connections. The relatively low current on the 12V rails of the NUUO illustrate this (only 30A, which is quite low for a 550W PSU). However, the NUUO is rock-solid, and a proven performer (as are all the others listed sofar). Another personal issue I have with the NUUO is the low efficiency...
I'd go for a good, proven, non-modular PSU. However, this is a personal opinion, and I will be flamed for it ![]()

I'd recommend Antec's True Power II 550w, sli certified, 38a on +12v, this power supply is very capable and at a good price.

Yes, the Antec TP II is a good PSU also. Just a note: it has dual 12V rails of 19A each, but a total max load of 'only' 36A. You cannot add the rails up like that

Well, they all seem like great PSU's... but that GameXStream 600W looks rather enticing. Think I might pick that up from newegg.com within the next day or so unless someone can point out something better.

I'd buy it but honestly I'm not ever going SLI nor CrossFire, but if I were I will definitely buyt that PSU and forget on shelling out $150+ when that $65 PSU is SLI "certified", and that's the keyword: "Certified". |

Thermaltake is not really a reputable brand when it comes to power supplies. That would be the main reason why I won't get it.
