My screen has started going blank today. At first it was in the middle of playing CS:S but even thought my screen was blank I could still hear sounds. So it seems my card may not be getting enough power from my cheapo raidmax 420w psu. Then the same thing happened while browsing the interent. Screen black, but sounds could be heard. Is this my psu not being powerful enough? Is my gfx card crapping on me? Should I have a direct molex to gfx card? Any help please, if I need a new PSU please any suggestions for cheap ones would help (cheap is under $75) thx.
PS 100th post!

Well it can be a variety of things.
1. As said the card may not be getting enough power from the PSU 2. The Extra power molex isnt connected. 3. Your drivers. I would try giving another PSU ago personally however i would reinstall the drivers also. Do the following. Installing Graphic card driver efficiently!!! When you Update your graphics cards drivers theres ways that you should go about it. Follow these simple steps below. 1.Download and install ''Driver Cleaner'' Here: http://www.drivercleaner.net/professional.html 2.Uninstall your Current Display drivers such as your ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia'' drivers. 3.Now run ''Driver cleaner'' and depending on the Drivers you have you will have to select either ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia'' from the drop down menu. Only select the main title of the driver in the drop down such as just ''ATI'' or ''Nvidia'' 4.Once you have selected Your driver click on the ''Start'' button and this will now start the driver cleaning process. ( Do this twice to be sure ) 5.Now reboot your system and Download the latest Nvidia or ATI and go ahead and install them. Doing this avoids driver corruption and conflicts so you can now enjoy smooth gameplay.

Also make sure that the g-card is fully secured into the AGP/PCI-E slot.
