Unhappy Curiosity killed the PSU

So there is a little orange switch on the back of my PSU and it has two settings, one is 115 and the other is 230. i decided to see what 230 meant and now it won't turn on, no Mobo light, but my speakers and monitor are still on. When i turned it on, the monitor was black, then my lights flickered and it shut off. i'm assuming i killed my PSU, anyone have good news so i don't have to replace a 4 month old PSU?

It's an Enermax 535w.

Yeah if you're lucky you only fried the PSU. It switches it over to 230 which is european standards I believe, We're meant to use only 115. I had a buddy do the same thing, I laughed for awhile. You're psu is dead, you'll have to buy a new one sorry man.

god****it. bad news for my dad! hopefully he will pay for half of it....

I was hoping it would give me more power or something, make it steadier. but looks like more power is not always better. i was expecting some smoke or something, but i guess it's better not to have smoke.

and i guess i can try and find a 600w. i guess it's off to fry's AGAIN for the third time in less than two weeks. i guess we can get the home phones we need..

LOL..... It would be worse if you were in the UK on ~ 250v - 230v and switched it to 115v.

the first time when i thought about that, i went on the forurms and asked people.. i thought if you put the PSU to 230W, it would 'overclock' the entire computer. LOL..
