Do modern PSU's nowadays have a feature that makes the computer shut down if it overheats?

Thats in the BIOS, you can set the computer to shut down after a certain temp. My CPU shutdown temp is set on 70 incase my HSF fails or something

well I only want to know if the PSu automatically shuts down if it overheats

There are temp probes in PSU'S these days to dictate fan speeds in the PSU but im not sure of a shutdown temp.
