Default Modular PSU Suggestions

Hey all,

My POS PSU from Ultra is finally giving up the ghost and needs to be replaced. I need your input on what unit to pick out. My system specs are all up to date. I will be adding another 7800 GT soon and eventually two more Hard Drives. I have a Sunbeam Fan controller that powers 4 120mm Panaflos. I also have miscellaneous ligting, inlcuding LEDs and two sets of Cold Cathodes.

I have several requirements:

At least 500 Watts.
High Quality Brand
Modular (I just spent about 100 dollars on creating my own PSU Wires)
SLI Support
OC-Friendly
120mm Fan (strongly preferred, not required)
Price around $150.

I have had my eye on this Silverstone, but could potentially be swayed from it.

Thanks for your input

i have found quite a nice variety of modulars at xoxide...http://www.xoxide.com/moposu.html

how ever may i recommend the enermax 620W enermax, slightly over budget but it seems like the best psu in the modular world so it may be worth saving the extra $30 and get...http://www.xoxide.com/enermax-liberty-620w-psu.html

Yeah, I have heard that the Liberty by Enermax is AWESOME, and will allow you to work with CF or SLI in the future.

Though there are a few with bad experiences, the fact that Enermax offers such a long warranty is great also. Go with a comapany that SPECIALIZES is PSU, go with Enermax

I used to have the x-connect 500w and it failed as yours did. They have a lifetime warranty so I RMA'd. They gave me another.....it dies in 5 min. RMA'd again and they gave me the ULTRA X-connect x2 550W. It's the same modular design except it had dual 12v rails sli ready with 2 6-pin connections, and it is more efficient then the original. It is a bit louder though even though it only has one fan instead of 2. So I guess what I am saying is try the RMA you could get lucky like I did, and if not when you buy a new one you have a back-up. The voltages are pretty solid too according to Everest home.
