Ok so around 2 months ago I had purchased a new PSU. The DarkKnight from Real PC Power which is a very small and not too good company. It was repackaged by ATADC and was only $20. lol. From all the reviews I could find it blew out in less than 2 months and fried peoples computers and lately I have been having power issues so im looking for a new PSU.
My system only needs around 358 watts so a stable 450watt should be fine maybe less if a good PSU. I am extremely low on money so nothing above $50 if I can or else I just gotta save up. I really want an ultra psu for some reason so if anyone can help thankss (or anything modular). Thanks, Wheezy ![]()

it's about $8 over your budget but it would be worth not eating for a day to get it... seriously... that is the best PSU you will find in that price range. It's not pretty, but it's stable and very quiet. it runs pretty cool as well. I've got one in my bro's rig right now... it was powering my HTPC for some time before it found it's way into my bro's gaming rig. it's also easy to sleeve, and the way the sticker goes you can actually pop it apart, slide the sleeving up into the case and then put the top back on w/o cracking the 'warranty' sticker ![]() see what I mean... Before ![]() After ![]() ![]()

I would never let an Ultra psu find it's home in one of my computers! there have been too many ultra X-connects blow up on people and fry their rigs.... ![]() granted the new ones are supposed to be better, but why risk it? FSP is one of the best psu manufactures in the world. Trust a name brand and a quality product. the best $50 psu is the one I linked

I was actually really interested in the Ultra X connect, i love them and actually at microcenter near me they had then $20 MIB and a nice ultra case for $20 after MIB. So for the price of that FSP PSU i can get a case and psu. Im in urgent need of a case bc my 4 yr old case just basically fell apart after modding and i cant move it lol or else it will collapse
Thanks for all you help Now all I need to know is which to go with...UltraXConnect and Ultra Case ~$50-60 FSP PSU ~$50 If that PSU is so much better than i will get it tho..

I personally think so. The PSU is not a place to skimp... a bad/non-stable/not powerful enough psu will cause your whole system to suffer. Plus, within the last couple of years many, many ultra psus have gone up in flames and many of those have taken other componets with them. the FSP is a high quality psu manufactured by a quality manufacture. I know I'm not the only one who has been extremely happy with taht particular psu. Ultra psus are popular because they are cheap and look good. FSP psus are popular because they are quality units. Think of it as insurance on your system
