Default Question about dual 7900GTX

Wondering if anyone has run into issues with SLI 7900GTX on a 600W power supply. I checked Nvidia's recommended site and my power supply (the Seasonic S12 600W Ver.2) is listed a compatible with all sli rigs except 7900gtx or 7800gtx 512mb. Its odd though as there are lower rated power supplies such as the FSP600W and the Silverstone 560W that are compatible. I've heard nothing but excellent things about my power supply but as my new GTX comes in tomorrow I'm suddenly a bit concerned about power issues. The seasonic ran my SLI 7800GT's without a hitch as well. I also overclock my cpu and video cards (and have numerous fans) so its a concern.

The extreme PSU calculator states I will only need 459W.

Can anyone comment on if this will be an issue?

Thanks

Well I took a look at your PSU specs and compared it to the cards you are getting. IMO you will be fine. If you feel very concerned this PSU will do you fine mate : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341002

I figure it should be safe. The Seasonic is rated very solid but thanks for the second opinion.

Got my second 7900gtx last night. Plugged it in (reset the card to stock clock speeds for now). So far so good. I'm running benches this evening and then I intend to OC both cards back to 690/890. (fingers crossed)
