I know there are other similar threads, but I thought I'd start one to get specific advice for my system.
I currently have a Seasonic S12-600 and it is a great psu. it's stable, powerful and very, very quiet. I like it very much. I'm selling it though because I previously sleeved it UV green when i had my x-navigator case and it looked sweet in that rig. however, I would rather have black sleeving with my new case. It's only cosmetic... but that's what I want. Instead of buying black sleeving and spending most of a day to sleeve it I'm just going to sell it and buy a new one. The original plan was to just buy a new S12-600... but the new PC Power & Cooling 610 looks very tempting as it's only about $15 more. Also the OCZ GameXtreme 700w also looks tempting because it's about $30 less and it has a $20 rebate. All 3 should be good psus and powerful enough for my system. But what would you do if you were in my situation? all 3 come sleeved black so they all satisfy what I want. the OCZ has a blue fan which would match my build... but the psu is at the bottom of my stacker so I prob wouldn't even be able to see it... so cosmetically they are all roughly equal

I would recommend the OCZ GameXTream. As you might know, it is identical to the FSP Epsilon 700W, the PSU I use myself. Rock solid, plenty power, and a good price.
However, that PC Power & Cooling unit does look tempting....

yeah, I know that OCZ uses the same core as the FSP, that's why I didn't add it in the listing... the FSP sells for more so I figured there was no sense in paying more for the same psu under a different badge.

I would actually suggest the seasonic S12 430w unless you have definite plans to go multi graphics card in the future. It runs my system which probably draws more juice than yours thanks to my ATI space heater.

naw... I'm not going w/ less than 600w. I know I don't need it all, but I'd rather have it and not need it than to not have it and need it. and my 7900GT prob draws just as much as yours... it's volt modded

I'd really like OCZ's PSU, specially my trusty PowerStream 520W, there wasn't any better single rail PSU for its price in a long time till.....................
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610W. As I said, I like OCZ and the Gamer XStream would be my #1 recommendation but anytime, anywhere I see a PCP&C, the PCP&C will take my vote because no matter what, I can't deal with multi-rail PSUs. Notice though, if there was no PCP&C, yes the Gamer XStream, but...... |

hmm... thanks for the input so far.
I was seriously considering the OCZ... but I saw this review where the OCZ's ripple was out of spec... so that kinda makes me want to shy away. http://www.jonnyguru.com/PSU/GameXStream700/index3.htm Has anyone heard the S12 and the silencer 610? what's the noise difference?
