Default A good 500-600W PSU...

I'm going to be getting a new WC set up soon along with some R600 stuff so I wanted a future proof PSU. My 430W does a fine job atm but I wanted something with a bit more oomph (mabo, vibe...whatever).

I had the TT Toughpower 600W in my mind because it is about $110 (US). The other ones I were looking at we as follows ($AUD):

- ToughPower 600W ($168)
- Seasonic S12 550W ($200)
- PC P&C 470W Silencer (not enough power IMO) ($200)
- OCZ GameXreme 600W ($200)
- Enermax Noisetaker 600W ($190)
- Hiper 580W Mod. ($190)

Any thought as to which one would suit me? I do have a budget (man, I hate those things) so don't jump to the best. I want the one which will work at a good price.

Well since I just blew up my old no name 480W PSU when I installed my ATI x1900xt, I decided that it would not happen to me again. Somewhere between newegg and me is the PCP&C Silencer 750 (thank you credit card). It is only $200 USD and the specs are nice. In testing I have read, the rails essentially dont move = VERY solid. That is what I would suggest. You can order direct from PCP&P for $200 as well.

Yeah, I need something fairly cheap guys. Nothing like the PPC 750W

www.staticice.com.au for any suggestions you have. It'll tell you the price.
