Usually the brand name, but Amps on most importantly the +12V rail, the addition of an Active PFC, tuneable rails...
Some good name brands are PC Power and Cooling, OCZ, Antec...

You're missing a [ in the end quote.
![]() My OCZ Powerstream has them, along with my new PCP & C.

Efficiency and PFC are my top priorities. I guess regulation and ripple are important too. You really need a balance on everything to get a quality PSU. Amps aren't everything, but they are still important. Be sure to use the total amperage and thus, power, on the 12v rail when choosing, don't just add up the amps per rail, since it doesn't work like that.

See the difference? The amps seem to add up to the same value, but the power output is higher on the 700W. These happen to be the same brand of PSU, but it illustrates the point about using the total amps and power and not just adding up all the rails. This is the PSU I am about to buy: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817703005
