I don't recommend either of them. They're not the best known brands for PSUs.

Look at something like the OCZ GameXStream 600W:

Listen to Chozart. Stick with a brand name PSU because you won't or may not regret it.

If there's one thing I never cheap out, it's the PSU. I've always tried to get an OCZ, except now for the budget, there's no contest against the Silencer 610W or 750W.

But an OCZ will definitely make a better choice out of the ones that you're considering.

you guys are going to kill his P4 lol.
I dont think his system needs 600watts.

500watt, Dual Blue fans, and you dont have to have tons of crappy cables flying all over

$91 http://www.directron.com/ult31852.html

sure you can find it cheaper. Just got one and i love it.

Ultra? Too many of those I have seen failing. They're prone to overvolting on the 12V rails.

For the price difference, I would get a good one. Also, he'll be ready for upgrades.

??? What do you think too big a PSU will blow up a computer?Lawl!

Its better to get an overpowered PSU for upgrading reasons. Future hardware will undoubtedly have high power requirements. And buying a good well know brand name PSU is just being smart. Its never fun to have a junk PSU fry and take out other components, or the whole thing, with it.

Dude, never recommend an Ultra PSU. Every one I've ever heard of has died. And modular does not = good. Modular cables give more resistance than uninterrupted ones do. The "cleaner" the electricity, the better.

Get a GameXStream 600W. Can't be beat for the price they're going for on ZipZoomFly.
