Default Help me pick a PSU

Ok, well i need a decent psu for about $50-60ish.... I was thinking about just getting the 450W with a 28A 12+ that comes with the case, but decided i should get something better than a no name brand if i want to protect my investment....

Anyways, it needs to be able to power:
an opty 165 which I'll try to overclock to 2.7-2.8ghz (setting my expectations lower)
dfi lanparty UF4-D
1gig+512mb ddr400
2-3 HDDS
7600gt (i might get a second later on, though I doubt it)
2DVD-Rs
1floppy
2 or 3 80mms+ a 120mm (leds)

The case I'll be throwing this all in is the aspire x-cruiser (black). Is this case any good? just curious...

Anyways, my main concern is the psu to get for this whole rig... is $50-60 enough for what I'm asking? if not, please inform me... thanks in advance for the help

Eh, don't think so. You'll probably have to at least double your spending limit if you want a good, stable PSU to power that rig. Get a FSP, OCZ, or PC P&C.

Yeah, you could probaby get away with a cheaper FSP or an Antec. The Aspire PSUs are not known for their quality, but I have no firsthand experience with them, so I dunno.

A couple good PS in your range.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817103017
$58
Even though it rated at 400w , it has dual rails of 14 & 15 a, an active PFC.

Another good choice
450w but dual 12v+ rails @ 18 & 18 a, no avtive PFC.
$49
