OK so here the deal, i recently added a watercooling setup with a resivoir 5.25 bay that runs off of a molex connector.
Then i added another 7800GT to put it into SLI which requires additional molex connectors but my problem is...theres not enough molex connectors and i think my 7800GT is dieing in the performance department because its not getting enough juice, i ran 3DMARK06's graphics tests and i was barely at 20fps through out most of the tests, how is this, i have the bridge on it and SLi is enabled but the performance is less then "O.K" its horrible! I am having to connect the other side of the molex to the Mobo...hell i dont even have an optical drive right now. If you have the OCz modstream then you will know what i am talking about, inorder for me to run my second 7800GT properly i would need the Videocard connector from the powerstream model but no one sells them directly. Anyways thanks for reading my long winded crap but its kind of frustrating when you just dont have enough molex connectors to power everything.

dang, i just trashed my 2x4pin molex ->6 pin PCI-express adapter. see if you can find one of those, it would take two molex connectors, but if you aren't using them anywhere else..
here's one.

It's time for a new PSU. You can buy adapters, but they aren't nearly as good as the real thing, and if you are going to be running SLI 7800GT's you NEED an SLI certified PSU.
for your rig, with the wc gear and everything you should really look at something like these: Seasonic S12-600 FSP Epsilon series OCZ GameExtreme series (same as FSP above) PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610

Yea i got 4 molex>6pin connectors here and have tried to hook up the molex>6pin but then i'd be sacrificing two molex connectors which means i get no optical drive and i lose a hard drive, i am not willing to do that for SLI.
i'll kook into SLI certified PSU's, when i bought the existing PSU back in december of 05 i had the single 7800GT so an SLI PSU wasnt a need plus i liked the removeable power cords and such but when i got to hooking it up i found myself using every damn powercord it came with so it really defeated the purpose of it. Thanks for the response .

yeah, that's one of the problems w/ modular psus... the other problem is that the extre connectors increase resistance and thus lower the output of your psu. In my experience they aren't that useful anyway.
just get a new psu and you'll be happier

Would a OCz powerstream 600w [OCZ600ADJSLI] satisfy the SLI 7800GT setup?
The box says SLI certified but i have read reviews and i cannot seem to find any pictures showing a 600W sli certified powerstream in use with two 7800GT's, i currently have my modstream up on eBay. If anyone has pictures please post them up id REALLY like to see, also does the powerstream have two identical PCI-e connectors or is there some sort of whiz-bang adapter that is included to make it "SLI" Certified? Thanks.

I find that offensive!

Get a GameXstream, I think they're cheaper and more powerful.

the powerstream 600W and the GameXstream 600W in my eyes are the same thing, the GameXstream is just "newer" to the market, except powerstream is cheaper, aslong as its compatable and will satisfy an SLI setup im game.
Seems like in most reviews they battle the OCz's and lets just say antecs or thermaltakes PSU's and the OCz allways gets the top billing as stable and clean power and nothing was bad about the 600W powerstream, and i found one for $80 so ill wait until mine is sold to pay for it, if anyone wants a link to mine feel free to ask! Thanks.

The more juice the merrier right? I didnt see how much you were willing to spend but I'd recommend this fella to ya. Can't go wrong. Or the 600w mentioned before I'm sure is great also. What kind of water cooling do you have?
