I posted earlier but just got ripped on for my PSU choice lol. Anyway - I'm just curious if people have a recomendation for a good fan to be used in my PSU (other one is noisy). I know I need something that will perform well, but I'm really looking for something that will be quiet even at higher air flows, the rest of my system is very quiet.
Any suggestions? If nothing else what kind of airflow should I look for in a PSU fan? |

Silverstone? pushes lots of air and can be quiet...not too sure if it can do both at the same time though.... check out newegg for em.

anything is better than what I have now I think lol. Granted the fan I use has a very bright set of leds in it but that's no big deal.
I just have no idea what kind of airflow I really need. I don't mind it making some noise as I have to be realistic, but I'm trying to make an improvement really. As I asked, is there a level of air flow I should shoot for when looking around? |

Just because you start a new thread doesn't mean you're going to get different answers. I firmy stand behind my previous post

I still don't think you should bother to change out the fan for the reasons previously mentioned. Plus, if you do change the fan you void the warranty (not that I've never voided any of my warranties...) Furthermore, before you can do so you need to see if your psu uses a standard fan (120x25mm) I have seen some psus that use skinnier fans. If you want a queit fan look to Yate Loon. they make some of the best silent fans money can buy and are relativly cheap Seasonic uses Yate Loons in their S12 series of PSUs

If you are getting a new PSU, try the 600 watt OCZ made by FSP group.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341001 $105, cheaper then the S12-600 by about $50.
