Hay overclockers,
I'd like to do the whole dual PSU thing with my old PSU but It's so old that it doesnt have a 20pin mobo connector, it connects to the mobo with the below queers, so I cannot use spookys guide to rig it up. How do I jump these mobo connectors so that I can power my fans & lights with the molexs like in the spooky guide? ![]() ![]() I have got another PSU with a 20pin connector lying around but the reason I want to use the old one is because it has an off switch. When I dismantled the pc that the psu was connected to the on/off switch was went right to the front and connected to the front on button (rather than the mobo supplying the on off switch) ![]() That green wire hanging of with the metal ring was srewed to bare metal on the case. Let me know why you think this is, my guess is that it was to ground it. Also, If I were to use the psu without an on off switch would I have had to turn it off and on at the wall? Or is there a way of connecting it to the mobo to make it power on with the pc... Thanks heaps for your help guys, and thanks again to spooky for the multiple psu guide.

You got an AT PSU... the only thing you could use from that is the molexes. Also there's no easy way to switch it on automatically with the rest of the system, so you'd probably end up having to power it on manually.

What you've got there is a pin molex set for Dual Xeon processors. Don't know what to tell you, but, try googling it.

Actually, it's possible, though, I'm probably wrong on what it ACTUALLY IS. Xeons are as old as PII Xeon from 1998. Like I said, I could very well be wrong. But, if I'm not, I still wouldn't know what direction to point you towards.

You could turn that into a benchtop power supply for testing out fans and different equipment. Easy to do, and it comes in handy alot.
