This is for those who are wanting to run two power supply's in your computer, with out having to switch on the second power supply or taping the main 20 or 24 pin connector.
Today i decided to try and make my second power supply boot with my primary power supply. i was able to find a relay in my scrap bin that worked. this is how you wire it. all you need is a 12volt 30 amp relay, like this one http://www.commandocaralarms.com/ite...?ProductID=535 ![]() this is how its wired, **note** if the main power supply has more than 30amps on the 12 volt rail you must put in a 30 amp fuse before the relay. ![]() this is how it should look when wired, then plug the moldex into the main power supply ![]() ***NOTE, this works for me, but if you mess it up i, nor Overclock.net will be responsible for the damages*** Please do not copy this or link to any other site.

couldn't you just hook up the green and black wires on the mobo plug together?

you then would have to tap the wires of the main power supply, this allows you to just plug it into the moldex plug

Just seemed easier than buying a whole relay, but like my grandpa always said:
"6 of one, half dozen of the other"

Another option instead of getting the relay is use inline splicers and just tap right into the wires behind the connector where it is exposed. These can be removed with just a little work too.

i use those all the time in the taxi cab installs for the VSS sensors. they do damage the wire a little. say you don't want to damage your $150-$200 Psu, than this will work with out having to tap them.
