No offense, but that isn't the smartest thing to do.

It's like saying all corsair is great memory because you have experience with the high end dominators, and like saying that buffalo is crap because you have experience with the valueRAM.

Jonny is the most thorough PSU tester on the internet that I have ever seen, and I'd trust a list of his (which is ten times more specific anyways) over any other list on the 'net.

Amen PaulTa,

Jonny is a really awesome guy, thorough in his testing, and has the equipment to back up his conclusions. I would definitely go by what he says. he is the reason I have my Strider.

He just does a great job of saying "hey, this is the kind of person that would best suit this PSU", he doesn't immediately bash them if they fail. Heck, I think the first strider he got died in the heat chamber, but he got another one and tested it and found it to be pretty high quality. Hes a good scientist and tech nerd =D

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up guys (And I was just about to buy a new PSU based on the other list)

I was just thinking that the number of PSU's listed was quite small, and I wasn't seeing many of the ones I was looking at. (I'm usually not a high-end type of guy).

Well hey, tell us what your PSU will be in and what your price range is, and we'll find a good deal for you.

good try, but no.
jonny updates his list every couple weeks or so. and as he does, i will update the list in my original post.
it would make sense to sticky this, as it is a major help in deciding what to get.

as K9 said, he's the reason I got the SS Strider 750W.

Nice post!
You could PM the section director to "Sticky" it... it's his call on that!
Provided you maintain the updates, he just might, but no promises from me, just direction on how to approach it.

Nice indeed. Agreed with Duke

I would note that, although it's a thorough review, its still a review of an individual sample of each PSU. this means that if Jonny got a bad apple of a certain brand, it moved down on the list.

A good example is the FSB Epsilon/OCZ GameXStream. He noticed ripple. But, I have one, and it's working great for me (solid as a rock), and FSP has revised the PSU (has he tested it again?)

Thus, yes, it's a great review, but there are others, like Tomshardware (although I wish they'd re-do theirs...it's been a while).

Reviews are a good snapshot, but what's more important to me is user experience. Nothing beats that .
