Default fried psu

i definitely just fried my psu but hopefully not my whole system... so i need a new psu. i had a 550w rosewill which i bought when i was still retarded and will never buy a rosewill again. so i need a new psu with at least 500w, 8-pin cpu power connector, reasonable quality, and at least 6 molex connectors... my price range is basically $100 max. i've seen tons of recommendations for ocz and pc P & C but i find them too expensive... does anybody know of a good quality psu for cheap dollars besides an ocz?

i'm considering a 700w ocz right now because it is cheaper than the 600w version ($105 at tigerdirect), just wondering what other options are out there

The 700 Watt OCZ would be a good choice amongst others.

Honestly, I bought my power supply at Fry's, it is a 550W (I think, check my sig for exact wattage) and it was only like 60 bucks. Cheapest one I could find at that wattage. It's not a brand name or anything and it works just fine.. I've never had the need to get something expensive and this PS is like 3 years old

Your sig says its an Antec, which would make it one of the better brand of PSUs.

Why a higher rated that 550W ??? For his rig, 500W or so with good 12V rails is just fine.
