500+ power supplies for this rig:
E6450 Asus P5NE-SLI 2GB Geil PC6400 DDR800 500GB SATA II WD hdd X1800XT 512MB LG DVD-RW 18X LG DVD-ROM soon upgrading vid card to 8600 series ONLY IF they top the X1800XT. someone had taught me how much the 12 rail should have, how much the 5 and 3 should have. If I remember correctly: 1.minimum 18A on the 12 V rail? 2.the best psus have only ONE 12V rail? Im looking to buy one of these: which rails power what? (cpu, gpu, mobo, drives..) LOGYSIS 550Watt Ultra V Sunbeam Case Gears 580Watt Ultra X-finity Ultra X-connect thermaltake 430W (maybe...)

Try to get a Sunbeam Nuuo 550.
__________________Out of those, the X-Finity is the best. With X-Connect you risk getting an early version which had horrible stability and caused some system failures. The Thermaltake 430 is kind of weak, it's just really popular. Ultra V is not as good as X series from their line up. Logysis isn't that good and that Sunbeam PSU isn't as good as their Nuuo series.

Since Sunbeam isn't popular in the first place... a budget PSU from a budget company isn't that recommended.

Yeah

I would go for a better PSU if you can put a little more money towards it. Like maybe cutting back on HD space or something. Cause that rig will be worthless without a good PSU...trust me I know firsthand.
