Red face X-Finity 600?

Hi guys, i'm new here, but i've been following OCN for months now, i just don't post.

Anyway, There is this deal on X-Finity 600, it is within my budget, but im a novice when it come to PSU. i'll be building my first system in summer (June) and i have a hard time getting the right PSU.

My system will be:
E6600 conroe
8800 GTS 640
2x1 gig Corsair or OCZ DDR 800
P5N-E sli mobo
2x250 gig Seagate 7200.10 Sata 3.0 HDD
some good DVD/CD 16x burner.

I don't have a Case or a PSU. don't know what to choose. My budget is 1,500 USD. Do you guys think the X-FInity 600W is good for this set up? if you guys think my setup suck, do have any any recommendation, since this is my first time building a computer?

BTW, I'm planning to have this computer last 3-5 years before i change another one. it is going to be a gaming system. that's why i want to know if this PSU will last for 3-5 years.

I own 2 600 x-finitys and never had a problem.
Folks say that they are rated 2nd tier at jonnyguru. Problem is there are more than one 600 x-finity model and the one on the list is rare.
It is the 600 x-finity EE model for energy efficient. The one most of us own is nowhere near in performance or quality.
Lots of folks been scooping up those psu's because of that review that never differentiated for the consumer the difference and most folks still don't know.
If I had it to do over again I would just scrimp and buy the Corsair 620.

Your mileage may vary.....

hmm, i went and check out the X-Finity at two different store, one of them have a 120mm fan and one have 2x80mm fan, but they both have the same name. why is that? is it one fake and one real? the 120mm cost about 70 dollars and the 2x80mm one is free with MIR. is Ultra brand any good?

2x80mm is elcheapo version.

1x135mm and says energy efficient is tier2.

Don't know about 120mm.

i would think that ultra makes pretty decent psu's. way better than the "comes with the case" and the cheapo 40$ ones at most places. i would love to say that i have a great psu. but honestly, i have a cheapo raidmax one. i got the ultra 600 cuz im pretty damnned sure that its better than my raidmax.
