I wouldn't get one. Currently, there are better PSUs for less.

I already have two 1x650 and 1x800.
__________________I could get decent money for them and buy something else. My question is will it suffice? Ive been using a 650 and I used the other 650 in my sons XMAS pc. Should I sell this 800 watt to buy something else?

They are adequate PSUs but no means the best. At what price range are you looking at? It probably is not worth the effort to get a new PSU though.

I have a 650 as well and I'm reasonably happy with it. It isn't the best but I do at least trust it. I don't think its going to take out half of my computer like my old Hiper did at least.

Typically, perhaps. But currently they are on clearance for around $130.
http://www.provantage.com/bfg-bfge800wpsu~7BFGT00T.htm http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817702004 For a PSU that's typically 80% effiicent, puts out a continuous 800W @ 40°C and has a lifetime warranty, I'd say that's a pretty good deal. ![]() It is group regulated, so I wouldn't suggest it for a Socket A or a Pentium III, but otherwise I would say it's more than adequate. http://www.hardwarelogic.com/news/13...008-01-03.html http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...ly-review.html |
