Well, based on the board SLI won't be in the equation so you'll be using a single GPU. Yup, that PSU is enough for your needs.

im running a 500W with all the fans and all and seems to be fine, although im thinking of getting a 700w for future, but i might wait till next rig

500w will be fine as long as you are not running a lot of peripherals like 4x500GB hard drives in RAID 5 and a pair of demanding graphics cards.

The corsiar PSU's are a trusted newcomer to the performance PSU market, there worth there salt.
You should have no probs running a reasonable powerfull system with that. I would not try to crossfire 2 2900's with it and a load of other stuff tho. although I would not Crossfire anything to be honest because ATI/AMD could not compute there way out of a very thin delicate bag

Well the 550 is made by CWT and the 620 is made by Seasonic but there is no real difference in quality. Where did you see the 550 is more expensive than the 620? The 550 should be like $40 cheaper since the 620 is modular and there is a huge mark up.
