just installed a corsair 620hx psu. i am kind of concerned about the readings in hw monitor. 12v 11.88 idle 11.82 load. the 5v reads 4.94 both load and idleand the 3v reads 3.30. i realize software does not accuartly read the voltages. what do you think?

Ignore them, get a DMM if you're worried.

Yup software isn't the best for reading voltages, but they go give a general idea and as long as they are within acceptable ranges there is no cause for concern. They typically read lower than they actually are due to resistance in the motherboard and if you look at the voltages in bios they are a little closer to what the PSU is giving. Even so, your voltages are well within range and nothing worry about and as was said already, if you are really concerned break out the multimeter.
