First Time Build
|
As you can see from my sig, I am planning to build a new rig that will be powered by a Corsair VX 550, which many have said will be sufficient for my system + overclocking. I am planning to get the CM 690 instead and add a few more case fans to it as well as cutting out a case windows and putting in a CCFL. My main question is, will the VX 550 be sufficient, or should I spring for the TX 650? Will the TX fit in my case properly?

The 550 is plenty of power for you. The 550 is 5.5" long and the 650 is 5.9" so both will fit, no problem. If you can afford the 650, you should go ahead and get it so you won't have to worry about future upgrades. I don't know where you planned on buying the corsair but here is the cheapest: http://www.buy.com/retail/usersearch...me&display=col
