I recently got my 2nd Hd3870x2 and an antec 1200 case to have more space. Got everything connected and ready to go... so i thought i'd plug in the power and get the water flowing through the tubes (had to cut new ones with new case) when bam... sparks flying from my PSU. About 3 seconds later it starts by itself.. runs for about 5 seconds and the power in my house goes out. I know I have 2 water pumps going and a crapload of fans but come on... an 1100W PSU couldnt handle 2 3870x2's? now i have to call a buddy over to start testing the psu with his comp and hope my MB isnt fried.

Sparks = primary side failure. How do you know something is wrong with the PFC? It's one of many things that could have died on the primary. Since it was probably something on the primary side your hardware should be fine. That PSU should have been able to run quad crossfire, it's a decent PSU with plenty of power. Sounds like you had some bad luck to me. Hopefully I'm right and everything survived (except for the PSU of course). It is pretty weird that the power in your house cut out, just the one breaker should have flipped if the PSU shorted.
