if i understand you correctly and you just want to test the psu, and not run the whole computer, you need to trick the psu into thinking the mobo is connected, by doing this trick http://www.dvhardware.net/modules.ph...rticle&artid=5

nope, youll have to jump it but connecting the green and black together on the 20/24pin atx

you would need to use some sort of jumper to turn it on I believe. by plugging it it it will be energized but it would be outputting power per say, ie for testing or powering something else like fan and what not.
hopefully that made some sence.

Get a paperclip, connect the green wire and any ground pin (black) on the 24 pin connector. Should turn right on
