Question 2 PSUs in a case?!

Could this work?

PSU #1: Take one 24 pin mobo connector and plug it in
PSU #2 Take the 4-8 pin mobo connector and plug it in.

So then wouldnt both psus' power the motherboard? Or would it totaly fry the system. I was wondering because, if I had one psu doing the video card(s) and
HDD(s) and have the other one power the optical drives, cathodes and fans....

Ummm I dunno.

I've heard of people hot wiring a second PSU to power graphics cards and fans but I wouldn't mess with the modo.

You could give it a go... Wait... Do P3 boards even have a 4 pin?..

I can't remember. If they do, go for it but make sure you have a fire extinguisher handy just incase.

Should be fine, but what's the point? How weak of PSUs do you have that it can't power both? 100w units?

You can BUT you have to connect two wires together.

First of all, look at the 24pin ATX connector. You see the green wire? Those have to be connected together. If they aren't, then the second PSU won't get the signal to turn on.

Second, you MUST MUST MUST connect two ground (black) cables together, either from the ATX connector or from the molex connectors. It doesn't matter which two, just make sure they are the same ones on each PSU. If you don't, then you risk lots of damage to your system.
