Default BFG 800W better than Silverstone DA850

please see review and comment

BFG 800W vs. DA850

The BFG 800w Power supply is only £65
The Silverstone DA850 is near on £120 twice as much

Silverstone is awesome, highly reliable. i would definitely spend the extra cash, but thats just me. the BFG seems to have a lack of support for a few things.

"Seems like the BFG doesn't have any 8pin PCI-E connectors, also it has short cables. Seems like these points hurt it, but looks like decent performance for the price."

"I would go Silverstone. But if there is a 3rd option, Corsair all the way!"

I can run SLI with 8800GTS. because they only need 1 PCI-E 6pin. Because i'm thinking of buy another 880-GTS 512 because i already own one.

If he's only using 8800 GTS's, he doesn't need 8-pin.

THAT is why the BFG is so inexpensive, it's an older model that's being "cleared out" of inventory replaced with units with 8-pin PCIe connectors, 135MM+ fans, etc.

If you can get the "LE" version (BFGR800WPSULE as opposed to BFGR800WPSU) for the same price, that would be the way to go since it has four PCIe connectors and two of them are a good 100MM longer than the other two allowing it to reach second slot PCIe cards.
