Ok I have an Ultra X2 750watt PS (I know not the best but it fit my needs at the time)and found out it will not run my system in CF unless I set the vid clocks at there lowest settings. I see in Everest that each GPU is pulling 28-30 amps. As a temporary fix I have hooked up an older 400watt 28 amp Antec PS just to run the 2nd card and everything work fine although I still think I am on the edge.
Now what would you suggest for a new PS? I would like to be in the 1000watt and a single rail high amp PS area just to be sure. This will be for the system in my sig. Thanks

The Corsair would be the best choice for a modular PSU. You aren't going to get a single rail PSU at this level, but it doesn't matter how many rails there are. If you get the Corsair here, it is the cheapest: http://www.provantage.com/corsair-cm...x~7CSMC068.htm. Another option would be the Zalman 1kW. All the other options are more expensive and offer nothing beyond what these PSUs can do to justify those prices.

Yup, the Antec comes with an extra set of screw holes so you can flip it so the fan is facing upward.

So what does it mean 2 rails or 1 rail? and does it really matter? If my Vid cards are pulling 28-30 amps does this mean I need that on each rail?
The Corsair does have some great reviews.. Thanks..

In general, rails are used to split up the power as an added safety feature. It will limit the amount of power available to a certain connector in case of short that wouldn't trip the other safety devices. It's pretty much standard in larger watt units since there is a lot of power available and if it could all be drawn from one connector, you would be in trouble. But the number of rails isn't something you would normally worry about, since there is very little difference between a single and a multi-rail PSU. The Corsair is a good choice, don't worry about it.
