Looking into Casegears right now, They fit my budget right now, and have positive reviews.
Have you guys had any experience with them?

Newegg shell shocker deal today....do it. Corsair 400 watt. There isn't a better PSU for $40 shipped on the PLANET. I got one for my rig.

EDIT - Expired.

It's kind of like my computer. I have 4GB of RAM and I bought 4GB more. $35 AR isn't going to kill me.

yes, they actually can blow up! I wish I had pictures, it was a stock PSU and I hooked up a 6600GT to it along with a bunch of other stuff and the PSU was rated for 120W!

After that experience I have never used a crappy PSU except in a dire emergency and I never have any limbs near it!!!

Another thought. What if I modded the Powmax casing, and put the guts from the Coolmax in it?

Corsair VX450/VX550 or HX520. Get one of those and you most likely will never have a power supply issue.

I would not recommend swapping guts so unless it's a direct swap where you can hook up everything and lead everything out of it without issue. It's not completely impossible but there may be some variations in the thermistor that controls how fast the fan spins as well as the screw layouts for the PCB in each of the PSUs. YMMV.

I'm going to have to say no. I'd get an Antec.

Cheap PSU's kill baby birds.
