Default In need of a UPS

I am in need of a UPS. I will have mainly my PC and monitor hooked up to it but want extra juice in case I decide to hook up other things to it.
I am looking for something decent for a good price. Not necessarily top of the line but not cheap either.
What good brands are out there?
Any suggestions??

It depends on how long you want the battery to last. I have this Cyberpower 685va UPS and it's working fine. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1099396538742

Though, I don't expect it to last very long in a power outage, it has automatic voltage regulation so that my rig won't be affected by power dips as well as surges.

APC also makes very good UPSes and they have a product recommendation tool on their site: http://www.apc.com/tools/ups_selector/index.cfm

Hey,

There are many varieties of UPSs. Some cheap units that provide a bit of run time and no protection from power anomalies, and then there are units that offer power protection, filtration and run time.

How big is the power supply on your PC? How much more stuff do you think you'll add to it? How much run time would you like to have?

I am biased and prefer APC UPSs over any other stuff, in my opinion they make the best network grade UPSs.

Yours truly,
Tony

I have several UPS units, and have tried numerous brands throughout the years for different applications.

CyberPower makes decent units, but they can be costly when one gets into the higher ranges of power delivery and backup time.

I have a 750watt power supply. I want at least 5 min of battery time for my monitor and PC. I will have other things hooked up to it. But these will not require battery backup only surge protection. APC sounds like a winner
