HI ALL......
my new PSU is giving me jip.... its delivering power but its stress controlled fan is (what appears to be) running @ 50% & then jumping to 100% intermittently ![]() its been running silent for about 3 days?? since installation.its impossible for it to be stressed with what im running....my old £20 shipped colorsit 600w POS never ever made a sound, but since this morning this new PSU seems to have kicked into overdrive..?? & its bloody loud....is it faulty..??

buy a better brand .. PSU is NOT something to cheap out on. return that xcillo or w/e for a CORSAIR or PC Power and Cooling.
The advertised watts in a gaming computer truly can mean nothing. 1000 Watts on a ton of crappy rails is a crappier psu than a solid 600 watt single rail. ( multitude of rails is always up for debate) However, quality of the rails NEVER is. If you have any doubts about a PSU buy a new one. You can EASILY fry your motherboard from a faulty psu, especially a off-brand unit that may not even have Active PFC.

Xclio's aren't bad PSU's, or at least didn't used to be.
