Default Corsair 1000w

Did not know where else to post this, just seemed logical to put it in the Power Supplies section.

The CORSAIR 1000W has a 140mm fan, does anyone know if it is 25mm thick or thinner?
The reason I ask is I'm in the planning stage of a mod and wanted to know, "could" I replace the stock 140mm fan with the Xigmatek 140mm fan?

PSU fans are a bit different than case fans. Why exactly do you want to use the Xigmatek fan when the Corsair fan does the job just fine?

Fan used on the HX1000W is a 7-bladed Yate Loon D14BH-12 140mm ball bearing unit.
There ya go :-O

Wait...you want to fit the shroud and everything inside the PSU? That's not going to happen lol. You'd have to rewire the fan too.

I'm just gonna guess that your PSU will be inside a case so how will anyone see the fan?

According to that review it would be a horrible idea to replace the fan with that xigmatek. The yate loon can push 140 CFM if needed, while the xig does just over 60 CFM. Not a good idea.

Thanks, I did not know the power supply had a yate loon in it. What review are you referring to?
