I'm about to purchase some new goodies for my system... But I need to know if my Corsair PSU will be enough to power my upgrades. It has 30A on the 12v rail.
![]() Here is what I will be purchasing: ![]() I did an estimation with the eXtreme PSU calculator, and it calculated 293W max load output for the system. My corsair can put out a max of 360W on the 12v. Would I be able to OC the CPU at all with this PSU?

I would say 400w is a little low. Not for your setup but definetly you will need to upgrade it in the near future.

Um... barely. I would throw at least a 450-500W in there just to be safe.

This. It'll power your system, but take into account capacitor aging, although it isn't that significant. You may want to consider making a new PSU your next upgrade. The worst thing you can do is skimp on a power supply, they're known to take out more expensive parts with them.

yeah, i would definately upgrade if you can afford it. go with at least a 500w if not 600w for your setup. your graphics card is supposed to have a minimum of 450w anyways.

Hmm.. well I know I won't have any trouble booting up. I may just have to hold off on the overclocking, or just do a very minimal OC until I get a beefier PSU. It's practically new and my current CPU is already 89w, so I guess the only real addition in power comes from the board and overclocking right?
I more than likely won't be upgrading this system again for a while after puchasing this stuff, but a VX550 or TX650 will probably be in order seeing as they are the same price. At the very most, i'll have to wait another few weeks or so before I can buy the PSU.

Your PSU should be fine unless you go for high overclocks.
