Default RMAing OCZ 1000EXS for OCZ SSD

My second OCZ 1000w power supply failed so I asked for an RMA. I asked customer service if it was possible to get an SSD as a replacement because I don't trust their PSU anymore. He offered me a OCZ Vertex Turbo 30GB (OCZSSD2-1VTXT30G). The replacement PSU would be a similar OCZ 1000W power supply (OCZZ1000) because the model I had is EOL (too many problems ).

So now I'm not sure what to take. I was thinking of selling the power supply if I chose that. I'm pretty the power supply is worth more that the SSD so if I take the PSU I could buy the SSD and have money leftover. The problem is I have to deal with the hassle of selling the PSU and buying an SSD (+shipping costs).

Anyways I wanted to know what you guys think. Is the SDD even worth it?

Thanks

That's the PXS of the old series. This is the average price for the PSU I believe. It's very different. It is modular, high powered single-rail and the Fan is bigger and oriented to suck air in a way that cools the CPU.

I'm not even sure if I'll be able to sell this PSU if you can get a similar 1000W for 60 bucks .

Edit: Just saw that the PSU you linked in refurbished...

Nope brand new, it's in the PowerSwap warranty I think. Their policy is that they send a brand new replacement without even trying to repairing the old PSU to reduce delay and to "guarantee" that the replacement will work.

That is a very good warranty .

I don't think I've even seen one of these sold used anywhere on this forum. I would post up an appraisal thread and just see if the price difference is worth your time.

I did. He said he doesn't use retail prices therefore he could not give it to me as an equivalent, price wise that is. But it seems the replacement PSU is retailing for over 290$ US + shipping, seeing as I paid 230$ CAD for the old model I'm feeling pretty good about this . I just hope shipping it over there won't cost too much.
