Default OCZ GameXStream 700watt Power Supply

Ok, Since my SKYTEC power supply died. I need an advice on new power supply. I was thinking of OCZ GameXStream Power Supply with 700watt. Was holping it will run on ATI 5870 CF. Is that enough power?

That PSU is only good up to 600w... so get the cheaper model.

I remember about 3 years ago that the 700w model were junk. I decided to go with the 600w gameXtreme model, and that is still running strong like the day I bought it 3 years ago.

That is a review on the 700w model. They really are not that great.

It's not great quality, and only 600watts on the 12v RAIL so I don't think it would do well at running 2 x HD5870's.

You will want to invest in a better Unit.

I have the 700 watt mod extreme which is supposed to be worse and it ran 2X4890's with an oced cpu for quite a while without any issue. So I really dont know if these fears are really justified. I guess Im lucky.

That is not gonna be an easy one. For sub 100, and still be able to run dual 5870's it will take some time to find one.

Never ran two GPU's on it but check out some reviews. But for price range it will be a bit tough to get a respectable brand with sufficient power.

My OCZ PSU seems to be running pretty well. But maybe this is why I keep getting Random BSOD's on my ram, the voltage might be fluctuating a lot without me knowing it.
