that $50 mobo just died and now im ending up with a dell computer that im going to ghetto rig my 4890 to in order to game by taking off the pci bracket plate and leaving the case open and moving the hard drive in the case to a different location to allow space for the video card. my ocz stealth psu will be powering the 4890 by jumpstart method.

i think now the framerates were cause by 2 capasitors missing on my $50 asus crap mobo. i am not sure though cause i could have damaged the cap's when i tried ghetto rigging the 250 watt dell crap psu to power the mobo and cpu to see if it was power issues. the 24 pin power connector on this psu is litterally 3 inches long so i could have damaged the caps while trying to smoosh this small psu inside the case at a wierd angle in order to power it. when i tred turning on the pc with the ghetto rigged mobo in it it wouldnt start and never will start again which means theres a good chance i damaged the caps while trying to ghetto rig the smaller psu to the asus mobo. im going to now try to ghetto rig my psu and gpu to this computer with the door panel of cause i cant game at all with IGP.

this might sound retarded and complicated to you all but A: i have NO money atm so i have to do this while i wait on getting my i7 920 and x58 mobo and B: this is all i have atm and i always find a way. there are so many varibales to consider atm so yeah..imo this is true pc troubleshooting lol

the entire post was pretty much a bump since im expecting no advice from anyone because i rarely ever get advice from people that i dont already know for 2 reasons: A: everyone treats me like i know as much about computers as a person who buys dells and knows only that when they push the start button that it will turn on. and B: most of the people that think they know whats wrong is the entirely wrong answer

it was my PSU i think.



i have this dell atm with a 4890 ghetto rigged to it and my ocz 700 watt psu to the 4890 which works out fine. the hole in the psu affected one thing. my 3.3 volt rail on it is at 3.5-3.6 volts and im pretty sure the cpu i spowered by that so it was being over volted and caused all the lockups. im almost lag free compaired to what i had in gaming now.

my question is you guys think 3.3 volts to 3.5-3.6 volts would kill my mmore sensitive q9450 on the spot? i have no idea if its dead
