Default Reasons why Corsair Power Supplies Bad?

I've come across a few posts scattered throughout the internet where someone would show disdain for Corsair's PSUs or single-rail PSUs. Unfortunately, they would never go into much discussion, so I want to ask the question here:

What's so bad about Corsair's PSUs and single-rail PSUs?

Corsair has been gaining much popularity, and I myself am extremely satisfied with my PSU, but I really want to know what the other side has to say.

away!

EDIT: I found this quote on a Rant thread a while back. The guy mistook the title ranting about Corsair RAM for Corsair PSUs, and said this:

"Gah. I was hoping that this was a rant against Corsair PSUs..."

Which really got me thinking... I really love my Corsair PSU too, but I just have to wonder if there's a not-well-known dark side to them.

Who said Corsair PSU are bad?

Who's claiming single rail PSUs are bad?

Um, Corsair is one of the most highly recommended brands of power supplies on OCN and other forums... They are made by Seasonic IIRC.

Only a few are Seasonic... most high-end ones are Channel Well Technology (CWT).

Hmmm... I bought a corsair psu because everybody here talked so highly about them. I have never even heard one person talk badly about them! My only complaint is that mine isn't modular, but with the new hx850 they are perfect! Also single rails are the best! Whats happens if you had like the wrong cables hooked up and weren't getting enough amps on load on a multi rail? On a single rail you aint gotta worry about nothin'!

Corsair are great, where on Earth did you hear this?

Also, one fat single rail is better than multiple in my opinion. PCP&C brought that ideology back and made some great PSUs back in the day. Some people may argue split rail is better, but nothing is better than one huge rail!

The edit in my OP quotes the, well, quote that got me thinking in the first place about it. If you really want to know who it is, a quick search can show you.

As for the split rail vs single rail, can you explain to me what the other side's argument is? I remember seeing in someone's sig here (fairly active guy, if I remember right) that said somethign to the effect of "Single Rail/Non Modular isn't always better than Multi Rail/Modular".

And to all: I apologize if this sounds like a troll/fanboy thread; I assure you it's not. I'm just genuinely curious by a single statement I quoted above
