How much does a 5850 use on full load? 150 watts?
My quad uses 190 watts full load. add them together and i have head room for everything like the mobo and hdd's. But do i have enought power. I am unsure how much a 5850 uses on full load.

5850 is 170W at full load. It's 20W less than your 4890 so I don't see why it wouldn't run on your current PSU.

I'm quite certain you'd be able to figure this out yourself. But the simple answer to save you the brainpower is:
Yes.

I would say that's a pretty safe assumption.
