System I need to power:
__________________Phenom II 940 (125w stock) overclocked to 3.8GHz at 1.58v 4 sticks of DDR2 at 2.1v 2 San Ace H101 (6.24W / 0.38 amp each) 2 Yate Loon Mediums (.3 Amp Max, not sure of wattage) 1 80GB Intel X25M G2 SSD 4 Hitachi 500GB-2TB 7200RPM hard drives CD/DVD burner and, I plan to add either a GTX260 or 9800GTX. Do you guys think my Corsair 400CX power supply be able to handle this? Or should I buy a new PSU? Using this PSU calculator, http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine, it came up to 529W ![]() If so, will I have any headroom to add more fans? Corsair 400CX ![]() Any help is much appreciated!

Well the 400CX can handle 955be, gtx 260, 2x2gb ddr3, one hdd and a couple of some antec tri-cools. Hope this helps even a little.

It only has 1 PCI-E connector so it wouldn't work with a GTX 260.

it will work but the PC may restart/shut down under full load.

No, not with a overclock like that. 1.58v is ridiculous.

Dang... then that's unusable for me. I will be doing video/3d work and rendering won't be possible.

I would get a larger power supply. You also can upgrade in the future without worrying about enough power.
Corsair 550VX or Corsair 750TX (if running dual cards) They're on sale for a very good price. Priced at $59.99 and $89.99 respectively. Hope that helps.
