Default Thermaltake w0131 toughpower 850w

well in the title is the model of my current power supply... my problem has begun months ago when my screen started getting some power savings mode displays while i was running windows and the system would respond, no usb's working etc... i couldnt find anything that could solve that problem, i even took it to local shop and ofc they couldnt figure anything out...
well today i had nothing to do and i thought i could have run some test, which is what i do for the past 12 hours
i had removed my gtx285 and only left in my system the 9600gt, this was good... no problems, run 50 runs in Linx with no problems (q9650 oced to 3.8ghz and 1.25vcore(i know its high i will lower it afterwards just needed it immediate stable)) everything was running well... 1st test cleared...
further more i removed the 9600gt and plugged in my gtx285, oced it to 700/1500/1300 and run atitool for 20 mins, no probs... run furmark for another 15mins and no problem... thought this was going well... but i opened Linx and runned a single test... problem occured...
this leads me to think it is a power supply problem and that it cant support too much watts running through the system...
suggestions and thought please

i think i have found the solution to my problem...
as i have done some research after posting my thread i have discovered that there are 4 outputs for pci-e connectors... 2 of them can give up to 30A and 2 of them can give up to 18A, i had my gtx 285 connected to the 2 of the 18A and that seems to was the problem...
i had now connected my gtx285 on the two 30A and seems to be okay...
but if i connect my 9600gt on the one of the 18A would it work good as a Physx card?
